Interstan Securities Signs a Memorandum of Cooperation with the National Investment Agency

We are happy to announce that Interstan Securities LLC and the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on 24 April 2022.

The company and the National Agency undertook to work jointly for the promotion of investment opportunities in the Kyrgyz Republic, to attract foreign companies and private investors to be serviced through the investment infrastructure of the Kyrgyz Republic, arrangement of issues of securities (including securities with underlying assets in the Kyrgyz Republic), utilizing the resources of exchanges, depositories and other organizations of the investment & finance sector of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The company and the National Agency shall be working together to educate financial sector workers on the best client services standards. The parties also agreed to work on a public relations campaign to create the positive investment image of the Kyrgyz Republic in Europe.

The National Agency, within the powers and competence granted to it under the Regulations on the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic shall ensure that the company’s interaction with State authorities, local authorities is done under the “single window” principle and shall provide representation to the company from the position of protecting the rights and lawful interests of the investor, and shall avail the company of the benefit of other investor support functions under its Regulations.

The Memorandum was signed for the initial term till 31 December 2024.

The National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic is a recently created official body tasked with promotion of investment in the Kyrgyz Republic and protection of investors. It has wide powers to interact with other governmental agencies to support investors. Besides, the Agency was given the powers to oversee the free economic zones of the Kyrgyz Republic and oversee the utilization of financial grants received by the Kyrgyz Republic.
